Basic soldering class learn on sterling silver

Basic Soldering - Soldering Sterling Silver

The best class to start your jewelry making journey. Learn how to safely set up your studio, all the suggested tools, best practices and how to get everthing strated on a budget. Class is 3 hours long and you’ll leave with 3 - 5 stacking rings.

14K Gold-filled Soldering

Learn the ins and outs of successfully soldering in 14k gold-filled. This delicate metal needs a little extra attention when it comes to soldering and there are several tricks that I would love to share. I will teach you several easy to understand tricks so you can start to incorporate 14 gold-filled into your jewelry collection.

Duration: 2 hours

Level: Intermediate - understanding of sterling silver soldering is required (Please make sure you have practiced for at least 20 hours).

NEW Earring Workshop

An intermediate soldering class to teach you several earring designs - from the perfect hoop to chain studs. Learn tips and tricks for creating the perfect circle as well as soldering on posts best practices! Learn how to create two of the same size earring PERFECTLY! Leave with at least 3 new pairs of earrings, a detailed instruction packet and several insider tips.

Level: Intermediate, soldering experience is beneficial.

Stone Setting - Rings

Learn how to create the perfect bezel setting for oval or round cabochon stones. Learn sizing and a variety of options for the perfect ring band of any size. Discover tips and tricks for stone setting so you get the perfect bezel every time. You’ll complete at least one ring in sterling silver.

Duration: Approx 4.5 hours.

Two Toned Textured Gemstone Ring Class

NEW Two Toned Textured Gemstone Ring Class

Learn how to work with 20 guage sheet metal and sterling silver sweeps to create a unique textural ring band, then discover various calibrated stone setting tips and tricks by incorprate a pop of color using gemstones and 14k gold-filled metal in your ring design.

Cabochon stone setting pendants class

Stone setting - Pendants

Learn the basics of soldering and bezel setting in this three hour intensive class. You will learn jewelry making basics such as sawing, filing, sanding and texturing on metals like copper and sterling silver. You will learn the basics of soldering and general stone setting, and will complete at least one pendant. Previous soldering experience is helpful.

Handmade Chain

Develop your soldering skills and take your designs to new levels with hand made chain. Learn a variety of chain styles including the popular paper clip chain. Nothing takes your work to a new level better than hand froged chain.

Round or oval prong setting clas

Prong Setting - round or oval stones

Learn you how to create a prong setting out of sterling silver to hold any shape cabochon stone. You will learn basic soldering skills, sizing and shaping your wire to create a dynamic setting for a cabochon stone. You can make a necklace or earrings in this class.

Jewelry Saw Basics

Jewelry Sawing - Basics

Enter a new realm of jewelry making by learning how to use a jewelers saw. This often frustrating tool will be brought down to size in this easy to follow and fun to participate in beginners class. Learn how to put your saw together, thread your blade, pierce metal, and sand and file the final piece. This fundamental tool is made accessible through simple instruction and trouble shooting.

Sale water etching on brass or copper to make patterns and textures

Eco Friendly Etching

Learn to create patterns on brass or copper using nothing but electricity and salt water. This chemical-free technique is fun and easy and won't break the bank.

All you need is your imagination - I will guide you through all the technicalities of creating the salt water etching bath, walk you through connecting the electricity and after 15 minutes you’ll have a design etched onto sheet metal. It’s quite simply magical …I will also explain how you can add color to your sheet metal to add extra dimension to really make your piece pop. We will also go over sanding, filing and piercing so you can leave with a pair of earrings, necklace, or even a book mark!

In this technique based class you will learn a variety of basic techniques in the first part of the class including dapping, riveting, sawing, sanding, drilling and filing. In the second part of the class you will take those techniques and create a variety of geometric jewelry.

Learn how to etch brass with salt water and a battery and then how to created compaonents for earrings. Add colorful details using seed beads or gemstones to make the perfect pair of earrings for Summer.

Stamped Metal Jewelry

In this hands-on class you will learn the basics of metal stamping to create a personalized necklace or bracelet. We’ll go over all the basics to set you up for success – I’ll cover all necessary tools and materials but mostly we’ll have fun stamping out meaningful quotes, names, dates, or even your favorite snarky comment. Your choice to make a necklace or bracelet and all materials and tools will be supplied. All you need to bring is your imagination.

Lost Wax Casting Class - WAX CARVING ONLY

Learn all about the art of Lost Wax Casting in this 3 hour class. We will work with various kinds of waxes and experiment and play around. Class includes a detailed instruction packet as well as all materials, tools and supplies. We will not be creating a final piece to cast. This is a introduction to the technique and more about experimenting and play.

Lost Wax Casting Class Part 1 of 2

Lost Wax Casting Jewelry Class - Carving - Part 1 of 2

Learn all about the art of Lost Wax Casting in this 3 hour class. We will work with various kinds of waxes to create a ring or pendant out of wax. Once completed I will send the wax away to be cast in metal. This class includes a large instructional printout as well as all materials, supplies and wax and one bronze casting.
No experience required. THIS CLASS IS PART ONE OF TWO. Please be prepared to sign up for the other class once you have signed up for this one.

Lost wax casting finishing class

Lost Wax Casting Jewelry Class - Finishing - Part 2 of 2

After coming for the Lost Wax Casting Carving class you will return for a second 3 hour session where in we finish the bronze casting. In this class you will learn about removing the spru and cleaning up the casting, you will file, sand and polish your finished piece as it is perfect and ready to wear.

Duration: 3 hours
